Financial position
Current account: £2689
Deposit account: £246£1200 from the staging grant is to be paid in. The stage has already been paid for.
The Christmas fayre made £1339.
Profit from the calendars was £526, with some sponsorship money still to come in.
The last cake stall raised £58.21Fundraising activities in the autumn 2009 term raised approximately £2000. 

Disco          Friday 12th February 2010    6.30pm-8pm
 Tea and coffee will be served this year in response to parental requests last year. This, and other liquid refreshment, to be served from DT room/ in atrium area. Parents are to be asked not to take hot drinks into the hall.
Children will not be allowed outside. Treasurer David wishes to stand down from the post of treasurer in May, and must, as a consequence, also cease to be a trustee of the charity. It is essential that we appoint a new treasurer, so this must be discussed at the next meeting. Committee members are asked to consider whether they might be interested in this role, and the vacancy is also to be advertised to the whole school community.   Puffin Book Club The first set of catalogues, with accompanying letter of introduction, will go out this week. Information about the Puffin Club will be posted on school website.  Cake sales A little more PTA help is required with these. At least one PTA member should speak to the class teacher on the morning of the sale, check there are sufficient cakes, bags, gloves etc., and be present in the afternoon.Forthcoming sales are on:Friday 29th January                 Miss Roger’s class
(Proceeds from this to be for Haiti, at Susan’s suggestion, with PTA matching funds.)

School Spending
£600 has been spent on Art equipment. Music expenditure will be in the region of £300.
Staff would like £500 to spend on smaller outside items, such as balls, hoops and table-top draughts, to promote positive playtimes.
Science club, which meets on Fridays, would like £35.
The school is putting £250 towards a program to highlight and develop science, and has asked if the PTA can contribute £100.
