‘Whenever two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.’ Matthew 18: 20
Prayer is the centre of our life here at St Nicholas, and children have the opportunity to pray daily with their class at the beginning of the day, before lunch and at the end of the day.
Throughout the year, our school community gathers to celebrate liturgy and to pray. We gather together to celebrate the main feasts of the Church year; each liturgy is led by a different class to enable children across the school to participate fully. Our liturgies are engaging and lively, using a range of songs, signing, prayers, animation, IT, drama, poetry and art to facilitate reflection on and engagement with the Gospel message. We warmly invite you to come and worship with us. Our whole school liturgies happen at 9:15 in the morning; please see our school calendar for the dates and feasts.
A core group of staff meet weekly to pray for the needs of our school community. If you have any special intentions you would like us to pray for, please email Maria Quinn, our school and parish chaplain on mquinn@stncs.uk or place your intention in the prayer box located in the school reception.
