Children in all classes contributed to our liturgy by creating a 'freeze frame' for every station of the cross.

We have had long queues for the Fairtrade Tuck Shop this week so far!! Fair Trade products such as Geo bars, dried fruit and biscuits are on sale in the Atrium during morning playtime. Items will cost between 60p to £1.

Mustard Seeds hosted a cake sale to raise money to sponsor our friend, Pauline, in Kenya's education. Nearly £140 was raised! 
 
 
Fun Faith
 
Fun Faith children also participated in a guided mediation based on the story of 'Jesus calming the storm'.  They responded to the meditation through pictures and prayers.

In Fun Faith, Years 3/4 have been making prayer dice and home-made prayer books to encourage them in their prayers at home.  
 

Whole School Lenten Journey 2018

During Lent this year pupils will be exploring how they can care for God’s world based on Pope Francis’ teachings. Each week Mustard Seeds will help the children complete Lenten pledges:

  • Buying Fairtrade products
  • Saying ‘No’ to plastic bottles
  • Litter picking and Recycling
  • Turning off lights at home and school
  • Donating school eggs to St Petrocs

We hosted a Festival of Cribs to celebrate Epiphany in January. Children were invited to bring in their nativity sets from home to display in school.

Congratulations to Okehampton Class who beautifully led our Advent Liturgy today. The children placed Mary and Joseph in our nativity scene, in preparation for the birth of Jesus. We also collected your kind donations following the non uniform day which totalled £176.11. A member of the Catholic Children's Society will come to our Epiphany Liturgy on the 5th January to collect this amount and use it to help needy families in the Plymouth Diocese.
