Nursery Admissions

From the term after their third birthday until they start school, your child is entitled to 570 hours of free early learning and childcare each year, known as the Early Years Entitlement.  We also offer the extended 30 hours per week funding to eligible families. Please see the information at the bottom of this page to find out how to check eligibility and how to apply. 

You can use these hours in our Nursery, Breakfast and After School Club. Additional hours can be purchased for £4.50 per hour.  

You can use a minimum of 2.5 hours and a maximum of 10 hours a day which includes the Breakfast and After School Club.

Applications are considered in the middle of the term before your child would join us. We can offer spaces for up to 26 children per session. 
 
The times of the sessions are:
 
7.45 - 8.45            Breakfast Club (for children from the age of 3)
8.45 - 11.45          Morning Session
11.45 - 12.45        Lunch 
12.45 - 3.15          Afternoon Session
3.15 - 6pm            After School Club
 
We encourage parents to visit our Nursery to see it in action.

We will make every effort to accommodate all applicants in our Nursery. In the event of oversubscription for Nursery places we will apply our oversubscription policy. Children will be admitted according to the following criteria:
 

1. Looked after children and children who were previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to adoption, a child arrangements order, or special guardianship order. 

2. Children based on their exceptional medical (see page 9 & 10) or social needs or those of their parents.

3. Children who are Baptised Catholic. (See note 2)

4. Children who are siblings of pupils on roll at this school. 

5. Children who are members of any other faith.

6. Children of members of staff:  

a)    Where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made, and/or

b)    The member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

7. Other children.

 

How to apply:
 
Please complete the form below and return to Mrs Brocksom, Senior Administrator (abrocksom@stncs.uk) in the school office with a copy of your child's birth certificate and any evidence required to support your application. 
 
Once your child's place has been confirmed you will receive a contract to sign confirming your child's sessions along with an induction pack and you will be invited to a welcome talk at school.
