It was an absolute pleasure to take our pupils in year 5 to London last week. During our visit to the Houses of Parliament, the children learnt all about how big decisions are made and even got to visit both the House of Lords and the House of Commons! It was such a fantastic experience and one in which the children learnt a lot.
This was followed up by a meal at Pizza Express and a trip to the theatre to watch ‘Matilda the Musical’ at The Cambridge Theatre. The children were blown away by the performance and have been talking about it all week! On Friday we finished our trip with a visit to The Imperial War Museum where we were able to see real tanks and artefacts that were used in wars.
The children’s behaviour was impeccable! I was incredibly proud of them all - especially when a member of the public approached me to say how well behaved they all were! I would like to thank Mrs Thatcher, Mr Marlow, Miss Sue and Miss Nicky for helping to facilitate such a fantastic trip which will have given our children life-long memories.
